As a stylist i am always looking at women in the High Street to see whether they have embraced the fashion forecast made months ago. The women that really stand out are the ones who actually dress for their body shape and in the right colours. That creates style.
The one item that has appeared everywhere – all over the press and the magazines for many months, ever since the autumn predictions started – was the Aviator jacket. Whistles were selling in my opinion the nicest one of all but i still have yet to see anyone in it. Whilst coat jackets predominate the High Street there is a distinct lack of Aviator out there – so what have the High Street stores done with them all?
Heavy, chunky knit sweaters are very popular as are the poncho style capes – fake fur for another year running is very much a part of the wardrobe this season with big scarves being the ultimate fashion accessory.
If you are still unsure about how to keep warm this winter, with snow and freezing temperatures upon us once more, then layer up – and make sure to always keep your best colours against the face for an instant youthful and healthy glow.
