Jules came to see me at my house in September 2007. The colour analysis included a personality questionnaire, the results of which were frighteningly accurate, and a detailed look at my skin tone, hair and eye colour. Advice was given on which colours to wear close to the skin and how to adapt clothes that weren’t quite the right colour. Jules then did my make up and I have to say the results were lovely.

A week later Jules sent through a really detailed report on everything we had discussed, including advice on style of clothes, how to shop and how to use the colour fan. Now I know exactly what to buy and how to put together an outfit, accessories and all! I’m not exaggerating when I say that I really do feel like a new “me”. I enjoy getting dressed in the morning now, I actually like to look in the mirror (I never did this before as I never really liked what I saw looking back at me) and for the first time ever I actually know how to shop, and I needed the whole experience to teach me this – colour and make up consultancy and personal shopping.

To finally make my day, when I bumped into my friend’s husband recently, he told her that he didn’t recognise me at first because I looked different. When she asked him different in what way, thinking he might say, taller, fatter, thinner etc, he said YOUNGER!!

I had a fascinating consultation with Jules, who quickly analysed which “season” I belonged to. As we went through my fan of Spring colours, and Jules draped coloured silks around my neck, both my energy levels and skin tone seemed to change, and those colours which suited me best became obvious, sometimes surprising me! For instance black, one of my favourite colours, highlighted the shadows on my face and literally “dragged” my features down, until Jules suggested a gold necklace near to my face to compliment my skin and hair tone. Turquoise made me feel especially vibrant and brightened my skin. Jules was also able to provide some wonderful organic cosmetics, and just a hint of olive green eyeliner and a light foundation made a big difference to my appearance. It was very interesting to learn about the characteristics of each season as well, and altogether I had a very worthwhile and enjoyable morning.
